One Response

  1. 1) Pro Tools can use VST and AU plugins with various wrappers such as Blue Cat Audio’s PatchWork https://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/Product_PatchWork/

    2) All major 3rd party plugins (Waves, Fab Filter, iZotope, Sound Toys etc.) are available in AAX format to run natively in Pro Tools

    3) Pro Tools is NOT “expensive” for “students.” ($99/year including tons of plugins) To qualify as a student all you need to do is enroll in one unit class (anywhere, any subject) 1x per year.

    4) Pro Tools is NOT “difficult” to learn. Basic operations can be taught in a few minutes. One day of training is enough to get anyone up and running as a podcast editor in Pro Tools.

    5) Avid offers industry recognized Pro Tools certification training courses for music and post production. No other DAWs have anything close to this level of training.
