Interesting. The Q9U sounds really nice on you.
I have a few clients that have the Shure MV7 and I can honestly say that I do not like it at all. Even on reviews and stuff, I wasn’t impressed and the more I hear it and work with it, the less I like it. It’s kind of harsh and lacks clarity compared to a lot of the other newer mics that have come out. I have not heard a single person that it sounds “good” on.
I’m impressed with the Q9U. It’s not perfect but it is solid.
Great show.
FYI Gary – I EQ’d my sound quite a bit in this episode to remove lots of low end and add high end clarity.
