Do you edit podcasts while standing up or sitting down?
I always produce audio while sitting down, but someday I want to buy a standing desk so I can get up off my ***. HA!

In years past, I recorded and edited standing up. I can do that for hours, thanks to some chiropractic adjustments. (A major reason for getting tired standing up is you start shifting because your body weight isn’t symmetrically supported. Get that corrected and you can easily stand for a long time. That’s my theory and I’m sticking to it.) I was famous in some circles for my inexpensive standing desk: An ironing board! I used that for about 10 years. Then I built a proper studio using a real computer desk that is not height adjustable. So now I sit. I miss my ironing board. Every time I pass the old gal, fond memories of standing comfortably for hours flood back into my head and my heart starts to race just a little. Maybe I should send something to Dave Jackson: Because of my podcast I developed a relationship with an ironing board.
Wow, interesting — It belongs in the Ironing Board Hall of Fame!
Usually sitting. But I have a sit/stand desk and sometimes move to standing for a bit.
Based on Max’s comment, maybe I just need an adjustment.
Hey Chris,
I edit sitting down.
But I do all my voiceovers, narration and radio news voicers with my mic mounted on a sturdy camera monopod with feet and my scripts clipped to an old kitchen chopping board.
Being on my feet helps me focus and is also vital for breathing properly.
I hope you’re well.
