I was in a guitar center a few months ago (ECS: Emergency Cable Situation) and they had a mic display where you could conveniently slap garbage headphones on, select a mic, and make a spot on evaluation….while listening to yourself while standing in the middle of one of the loudest stores that you can visit. I mean, no way that the DJ station and teenager playing Nirvana on the drums like 14 feet away would muddy the audio waters in any way. A perfectly acceptable way to select a mic….

  2. also, I have IDC and use it a lot. It’s solid. But it has places where it’s better than others and places where it’s worse. But I generally try it and RX on almost everything. Sometimes IDC wins. I’d say RX wins most of the time but when IDC does when it wins pretty big. Very cool plugin.
