Name One Song That Sounds Amazing/Perfect to You

Some songs are produced with such amazing sound that the song seems to transform into something MORE than just a song! Pure transcendence, you might say.

What is one song that sounds amazing to you? …or 2 or 3 songs 😉 hehe

One of my all-time favorites is Dwight Yoakam’s “Turn It On, Turn It Up, Turn Me Loose”. Great lyrics enhanced by Pete Anderson’s fantastic guitar work. Pete’s guitar is laid in behind the vocals, so that it’s there, but not intrusive. Outstanding job both musically and in the engineering.

In 1985 David Pack, Michael McDonald and James Ingram had a hit with Pack’s song, “I Just Can’t Let Go”. In 1997, Pack took the original tracks back into the studio and had his former Ambrosia band mates record additional instrument and vocal work. The new version is absolutely amazing. When Christopher North’s Hammond cuts through with his glissando into the tight chord (3:51), I get a head rush ever single time. https://youtu.be/xvAtLcKuLa0
